Phosphorus is an essential element required in metabolic processes, protein synthesis, and growth of corals and macroalgae. It is important to maintain phosphorus levels along with nitrogen levels in order to allow for optimal growth and coloration of corals and macroalgae.

Supplementing with Reef Phosphorus provides a targeted means of increasing phosphorus concentrations effectively without also adding dissolved organics. Reef Phosphorus is ideally suited for use with an aquavitro® sentia™ dose doser to maintain phosphorus at consistent concentration based on your aquarium's unique demand. Reef Phosphorus™ is easily dosed manually as well. Ideal phosphorus levels will vary but generally range from 0.02 - 0.05 mg/L phosphate. Reef Phosphorus™ contains 0.117% elemental phosphorus. Use Seachem’s Reef Nitrogen™ to achieve a balance of nitrogen and phosphorus levels for optimal results.
