QUARTZ SANDS NATURAL SUBSTRATE FOR YOUR AQUARIUM The quartz sand from Aquael is an extremely fine and very light, white substrate for aquariums. This creates beautiful contrasts with coloured shrimps. It is also ideal for creating paths and walkways in an aquascape, for example. The natural substrate material does not contain any artificial additives or coatings, which is why it is water-neutral and does not release any polluting substances. In addition, the quartz sand can also be used in soft water tanks, as it does not harden the water. The quartz sand is available in two different grain sizes. For large aquascapes, we recommend the 0.4 to 1.2 mm grain size. Both grain sizes are available in 2 kg or 10 kg bags. For small aquascapes, we advocate a 0,1 to 0,3 mm grain.
